This knot is a little larger than the Balthus knot and tends to produce a look that is wide and symmetrical. This is a good knot to use with a variety of ties of all kinds of thicknesses and fabrics.
Drape the tie over your neck, with the reverse side out - the inside of your tie facing outward - and the wide end on your right side.
Cross the narrow end of the tie over the wide end.
Wrap the wide end back over the narrow end from left back to the right.
Bring the wide end up from the right side to the center.
Pass the wide end of the tie down over the knot from the center to the left.
Bring the wide end back up, under the narrow end from left to right.
Pass the wide end up from the right to the center of the tie.
Pass the wide end underneath the knot, down to the left.
Wrap the wide end back over the knot to the right.
Bring the wide end up from the right to the center of the tie, and then pass it down through the loop in front. (Refer Step 10 and 11)
Gently tighten the knot by pulling down on the narrow end and sliding the knot up to your collar. (Refer Step 12 and 13)
