This is a good-looking knot that is symmetrical and wide, and tapers to create a triangular look. A great knot to learn how to tie a tie on and best when worn with spread collar shirts. This knot is perfect if you have a closet full of older, stretched-out neckties.
Drape the tie over your neck, with the reverse side out - the inside of your tie facing outward - and the wide end on your right side.
Cross the narrow end of the tie over the wide end.
Wrap the wide end of the tie back over the narrow end to the center of your chest.
Bring the wide end of the tie down from the center to the right.
Pass the wide end of the tie over the knot from the right to the middle of your chest.
Bring the wide end of the tie down to the left, and back over the knot to the right. (Refer Step 6 and 7)
Bring the wide end under the narrow end from right to the center of the tie.
Pass the wide end of the tie down and through the loop in front.
Gently tighten the knot by pulling down on the narrow end and sliding the knot up to your collar. (Refer Step 10 and 11)
